Freight/ShippingFreight/Shipping: We ship our bikes in custom "double-walled" boxes with padding and bubble-wrap around all parts of the bike, ensuring that your bike arrives in good condition. In the unusual event that your bike does arrive damaged from shipping, please review our Damage Claims/Returns Policy Below. We ship to all 50 states in the USA, as well as Canada. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada will require additional shipping fees. Our Shipping partner is FedEx and we offer standard Ground shipping to the 48 states for a set price of $24 per custom bike (additional accessories or items purchased and shipped in other boxes will be shipped separately and priced using FedEx Zone/Weight guides). A signature is required to receive your bike, so please determine if you would prefer to ship it to your home or workplace. You may schedule an evening or Saturday delivery time with FedEx at no additional cost, if that fits your schedule better. Damage Claims/ReturnsDamage Claims/Returns: Due to the nature of the time that goes into Villy Customs carefully assembling, inspecting and packing your custom bike, we have a No Refund Policy. If you receive a bike that is damaged in any way you must make a damage claim with us. You must file your claim within 3 days after receiving your bike. To file a claim, please take a good digital photo of the damage along with a picture of the shipping box and a clear written explanation. We handle all claims via email as we must see your images to evaluate the best way to handle the claim. Once the written claim is received (along with images), we will respond within 2 business days. Please Note: very minor imperfections such as a tiny scratch, scuff, or tiny dent can occur during the shipping process. We consider this "allowable" damage and may be denied depending on the extent of the damage. Bike Assembly
Thanks for ordering your Villy Custom Cruiser! Please follow these simple instructions carefully and you should be able to complete your bike within 10 or 15 minutes. If you have any questions, give us a call or email us at thefleetster@gmail.com.
You will only need to install your pedals, handlebars, seat, front fender and front wheel. All parts have been greased; all you have to do is follow the directions below! All tools are included (except a Phillips head screwdriver). Step 1. Carefully open your Villy Customs box. Remove all accessories and parts. Unload bike onto soft surface (carpet/cardboard, etc…) Step 2. Remove all strapping and wrap off the bike very carefully. (No scissors or knives, please – you do not want to scratch any paint!) Step 3. Loosen nuts on front wheel axle until they are at the end of each side of the axle. Insert front wheel into fork keeping washers between the nuts and fork. Tighten nuts on wheel using the enclosed (15mm) wrench. Step 4. Install front fender using a 10mm wrench (included) and a Phillips head screwdriver (not included) by sliding fender over tire and placing fender tab against the rear side of the fork. The hardware for this step is marked as “fender bolt”. In order to have proper tire clearance, make sure fender is attached at the highest possible location of the fender tab. Step 5. Insert handlebar stem with handlebar attached into head tube. Make sure the handlebars are straight by straddling the bike and paying close attention to the centerpoint of the bike. Tighten center bolt with the (6mm) Hex wrench. IMPORTANT: make sure this bolt is tight. Make sure you test it to make sure there is no play in it. Step 6. To adjust handlebar positioning (to the riders desired angle) loosen (6mm) hex bolt on front of handlebar stem. Once handlebar is in desired position, tighten (6mm) hex bolt as tight as possible. IMPORTANT: if not tightened properly, handlebar angle will shift when riding. If you are feeling any play in the handlebars…tighten bolts more! Step 7. Insert Seat Post into the seat tube. Make sure seat is straight, level and the proper height. Then secure with the adjustable Woodman hand clamp. If it’s not as tight as you want, turn the arm of the clamp clockwise and clamp down again. You can also adjust the “tilt” of your seat by adjusting the bolts on each side of the seat using the (14mm) wrench, if necessary. Step 8. Attach both rear and front fender braces with your Phillips Head Screwdriver. The screws are located in the existing holes above wheel axles. Unscrew these – insert braces – then tighten screws. These will stabilize your fenders. Step 9. Inflate tires to proper PSI. (shown on the sidewall of your tire) IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH MINOR BIKE ASSEMBLY, ANOTHER OPTION IS TO TAKE THE BIKE (IN THE BOX) TO A LOCAL BIKE SHOP. MOST SHOPS WILL ASSEMBLE YOUR BIKE FOR $50 OR LESS. Color Differentiation
